Set against the golden clouds that mark the end of day, two Canadian geese fly together. The Oxford English Dictionary defines sacrosanct as something too important or valuable to be interfered with. This speaks to the sanctity of migration and the invisible bond between two souls. In a V formation, the lead bird creates an air current that eases the flight for those behind—but it's harder work for the leader, so they take turns. If a bird becomes too tired to go on, it will land—and another will follow to stay until it recovers. That quiet companionship and mutual support is honoured, steadfast and unwavering.
